Wild at Heart BASIC is not a retreat about the "seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy."   


It is an immersive journey to recover the masculine heart.

  • Bunk bed accomodations - all bottom bunks. Bring sleeping bag or linens and blanket, pillows.

Suggested Amounts

  • Paintball tournament play in the custom arena. Includes several games of Epic Fun! All equipment and instruction is provided. Wear heavy long sleeve clothing that can take paint stains!

  • Guided ride up the river on a pontoon boat to the Blue Springs headwaters for snorkeling and swimming.

  • Guided kayak tour - a paddle trip through a nearby beautiful clear spring, a quick swim stop, then return to the private launch lagoon.

  • Get launched into the air to land in a lake.

  • Swimming in large pool. Staff lifeguards in attendance.

  • Take out a kayak on your own or in a group of friends to the river. Life vest is provided and mandatory.

As a special treat, free airplane rides will be offered as an activity on Friday.  Limited slots are available so men will be selected through a random drawing.  Just fill out your lottery ticket upon check in if you are interested.  Winners will be announced on Thursday night.  

If you want to play golf during the free time on Friday or Saturday, no problem.  Indian Springs Golf Club is very close and it is first come first serve (not currently scheduling tee times)  You will have 4 hours on Friday and Saturday afternoon; RTG is not scheduling nor managing golf.  Talk to your buddies, bring your clubs and call Indian Springs Golf Club 850.482.8787 for information.  

Late arrival or early departure?:  No problem, we can accomodate you.  Check in is from 3:45 to 5:45 CENTRAL TIME on Thursday 7 April.  Dinner starts at 6 pm.  First session begins at 7.  Retreat concludes Sunday 10 April at 12:30, optional lunch follows.   After you register send an email to [email protected] with your needs.  This is stated again in your confirmation replies.

If you want to change your activities, that is allowed when you arrive during check in.  Please do not contact RTG or camp administrators for activity changes.  That can and will only be made in person when you arrive.

Registering on a smart phone?   Enable Pop-Ups to make it work!  Otherwise it will just lock up.    For an iPhone: Turn off the switch (gray NOT green) for "Block Pop Ups".  To do this, select Settings>Safari>Block Pop-ups> set slider to OFF (gray).  If you are thwarted, send an email to [email protected] and we will get you through the process.  



HEADS UP! A SIGNED WAIVER by event participant or parent/guardian WILL BE REQUIRED before you can attend. And before you can download your receipt. Complete the red block in the confirmation pop-up after "submit the above". You may get a signature required in your registration email if the waiver is still incomplete.
